Setting up your Walker Deeper Diver is simple, and there's no outer ring! R stands for right or starboard, L stands for left or port. Attach your line from the fishing rod to the arm release with a heavy cross lock swivel or tie it directly to the swivel on the release arm. Using a heavy cross lock swivel makes an easy removal of your Walker Deeper Diver. Next tie a fluorocarbon leader to the back of the Walker Deeper Diver in a length of 4'-8' foot, the best length is 6' foot of leader. Then tie a snap to the end of your leader and attach a Michigan Stinger Spoon or your favorite lure. Now your ready to set them out. Lets start with our outside Walker Deeper Diver on a 3 R setting for the starboard, right side of our boat. Click the arm release into place on the front of the Walker Deeper Diver and set the tension screw so it's snug and not too tight! Zero out your line counter reel and start the Walker Deeper Diver into the water. You can thumb it out slow or loosen your drag to let it run out to your desired length of line out. Check your chart on the back of the Walker Deeper Diver package to get your desired depth that you want your lure to run at.. This is our outside line so we want this rod closest to the bow of the boat and placed at an 80 degree angle to the waterline. Our next Walker Deeper Diver to set out would be set on a 2 R setting for the starboard side, set it up with a leader like we did our first one and adjust the release so it's snug and not too tight. Again use the depth chart on the back of the Walker Deeper Diver package to get your desired depth for the 2 setting. This rod will go into the next fishing rod holder towards the stern at a 70 degree angle to the waterline. Next is our Walker Deeper Diver on a 1 R setting for the starboard side. Set it up just as we did the first two with a leader and adjust the release so it's snug and not too tight. Let it out to your desired depth and place this fishing rod in your back rod holder closest to the stern at a 65 degree angle to the waterline. Set your drags and be ready to shout FISH ON!!!
